There will be brief presentations about the Collaborative Doctoral Award project from Drs Fitzgerald and Lidchi, as well as a presentation by Inbal Livne introducing her research and offering the opportunity to discuss some of her findings. Whilst the project itself has focused on Tibetan material culture in Scottish contexts, we expect this section to be of interest to many working in other disciplinary or geographical fields.
Invitations have been extended to key figures working at the interface between academia and museums, and we are looking forward to a stimulating day addressing some of the key issues that arise in engaging with representations of cultures, whether that be in a historical or in a contemporary context.
